2021 Call for Entries!!
We are now accepting entries for the 2021 EDU Film Festival. We are looking for short films from Minnesota high school (or middle school) students in the following categories: Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video, Animation, or PSA categories. Official selections will be screened as part of the 2021 EDU Film Festival, on May 20th.
To submit, fill out the entry form, and upload your video. All submissions are due by April 1, 2021.
Now in its 15th year, the EDU Film Festival is Minnesota's premier film festival for high school students. Each year students from schools across the state attend the festival to view each other's work, take part in panel discussions, network with high school and professional filmmakers, and compete for Best-in-Fest awards.
2021 EDU Timeline:
Call for Entries: March 1
Entries Due: April 1
Screeners announced: April 15
EDU Film Fest 2021: Friday, May 21*
*Due to continued Covid-19 health and safety concerns EDU Film Festival will be a live, online event again this year. We had hoped that by May 2021, we would be able to showcase student work in a state-of-the-art theater as we have in the past, but this large scale type of event is not yet possible. We put on a successful virtual film festival in 2020, and we’ll do it again this year!
